Devin Knight, crew foreman for Marathon Surfaces, re-created an artists rendition of a First Nations inspired salmon for Maffeo Sutton Park in Nanaimo, BC. A stencil was painstakingly drawn and cut out over several days followed by the careful addition of pour in place (PIP) rubber inlaid into the stencil. Devin’s incredible artistry and creativity enables Marathon to execute intricate designs and stand out as a leader in the industry. This beautifully designed element was installed at Maffeo Sutton Park along with a family of bears and 3 dimensional elements such as “rocks” and fish.
